I GATTI MEZZI

From Pisa I Gatti Mézzi with irony, healthy humor and great music. The name is an expression from Pisa which stands for: the worst thing that can happen. The duo is composed by Francesco Bottai (guitar, vocals and kazoo) and Tommaso Novi (piano, vocals and whistle) in addition to Matteo Anelli bass and Matteo Consani drums. They sing in the Tuscan dialect and wink to jazz, especially swing and the sounds of popular music. In the music of Gatti Mèzzi the passion for a type of ironic composition, experimental, intelligent and irreverent joins with the Italian songwriting tradition, giving it a new life.
