Composer, artistic director, conductor, cellist and bassist Paolo Damiani is Director of the Department of jazz at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome. A career full of awards, projects and collaborations with some of the finest musicians in the world including Pat Metheny, Kenny Wheeler, Albert Mangelsdorff, Billy Higgins, Charlie Mariano, Anthony Braxton, Cecil Taylor, Gianluigi Trovesi, Trilok Gurtu, Miroslav Vitous, Paolo Fresu, and many others.
